Topic: Remote Temperature gauge

Can someone please recommend a source for a remote temperature gauge assembly, that has a sensor that will fit the v8 flathead cylinder head.
I want to install one because as you all know, the stock cylinder head senders can't always be trusted.

I've used a gauge brand called Equus. You can buy them at most automotive stores or on-line. They come with adapters to use on the flathead motor. Not expensive and seem to be very accurate. They are a mechanical gauge

How did you mount yours? I want it on the lower edge of the instrument panel. Which one of the several I see by "Equus",
did you buy?

Thank you, in advance, for these answers.

Mechanical??? I think they have to be electronic; the sensor sends an electrical signal to the gauge; just like the original
Ford sensors that go bad. As the sensor heats up, the signal changes, which moves the needle from cold to whatever the
temperature is at the time. Full ohms when the key is first turned on, which sends it to COLD, and as the temp rises, it gets less, and less.

I use the mechanical gauge. I feel they are more accurate. I doubt that Equus makes a 6 volt electric gauge. If you are 12 volts then go ahead and use the electric one if you like them better.

I just purchased two Stewart Warner mechanical
gauges from Summit.
Will mount on left side under dash

Sorry for my error; You're right, they call them mechanical gauges! To me mechanical would have gears etc.. Go figure.
