Used this tool to remove a faulty oil pressure sending unit from a flathead that was mounted in an early Ford. Because the sending unit is so close to the firewall, a normal wench may not be used. This tool and a 3/8" socket wrench extension is a "lifesaver"

c-gor Nice job on the sender tool. I had a set of crowfoot wrenches in my tool box from my mechanic days, and used one of them to change out the sender on my '46 Deluxe. I also wanted to install a mechanical gauge was well, so the CF wrenches were helpful in working in the tight space by the firewall. You will have to google crowfoot wrench, as I couldn't include the picture for some reason. This message was edited by 51woodie on 10-5-19 @ 8:04 AM

Good Morning---- Glad that the tool worked well for you to remove the oil pressure sending unit. I am certainly no tool expert, but what the tool looks like to me is a "crows foot" wrench (or is it "crow foot?"). A ratchet, short extension, and the crows foot wrench should also work for you in the same situation. Have a nice weekend. Tom

Back in the day we used to make our own by taking an old wrench, bending it like the tool shown, and welding a 3/8 drive socket to the top. I think I still have one.
