Does anyone have any pictures on the proper fuel line routing? I have searched the internet and I have the restoration handbook but it is not clear to me. Thanks in advance for the help.

The fuel line begins at the tank and is anchored inside the left frame rail until it emerges at the firewall, where it is coupled to the flexible line leading to the carb.

It goes to the fuel pump at the rear as a flexible line and then exits and goes to the carburetor as a hard line. Beginning at the beginning ,to be exact it begins at the lower driver's side forward edge of the fuel tank going down at a sharp angle into a triangular fitting that has a female threaded boss for the flared line. The rest of your post about going down the driver's side frame rail I concur with and that it goes up the firewall to then go to the engine I have described in the beginning of my post as a flexible line that is fabric covered and has fittings at both ends for the hard lines it is joined to. You probably want me to verify there are no clamps or neoprene hoses in this anywhere. I found this among others with smooth neoprene instead of fabric covers. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=fU159LQE&id=E790005D3F35771EAA69F4F298C595F46A97B9DB&thid=OIP.fU159LQE-8h1gkXOSe3UlwAAAA&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.oneillvintageford.co.uk%2facatalog%2fV8-9288-81-m.jpg&exph=159&expw=150&q=1947+ford+flexible+fuel+line+from+fire+wall+to+engine&simid=608013118851125241&selectedIndex=12&ajaxhist=0 I got out the Flathead Ford V-8 Engine album and on page 9-8 of Volume 2 in figure 5-11 it shows the flexible line connected directly to a 11A-9350 fuel pump inlet which does not have a glass bowl as do 1947 and 48. Figure 5-13 shows the correct fuel pump for after the 4th quarter of 1946 which could include some 1947s. In Repair manual Ford and Mercury V8 Engines 78-81A-59A series 1937 to 1948 Pass. Cars 1937 to 1947 trucks in Fig. 1 Engine left side view on page 5 it shows the fuel line going diagonally from the fuel pump up to the carburetor side of the float bowl. A third source maybe you had seen is the 1941-48 Ford Book by the Early Ford V8 Club with Fig. 5-11 and 5-13 the same as in the Engine Album Vol 2.
