1933 Fordor Sedan Deluxe.....The body number plate on the firewall above the patent plate shows " -LB- " for a body number. In the 1933-34 Ford Book, page 7-14, an example body number shows the body type number followed by the individual body number. So the -LB- designation on my body number plate seems unusual. I am looking for information on this and would like to know if I can determine any production history about the car from this body number and why it is not an actual number. Thanks for any tips on this. See photo attachment.

That is a reproduction tag. Even an original tag with #'s is not much help with vehicle history. I'm not sure that fordors had tags if the bodies were built in the Ford plant.

Just curious, what month was your car produced?

The frame number is from April 1933. The transmission number is August 1934. The car is unrestored, except a paint job in the past, and running and in very nice condition considering its age. Of course I would have been happier to find matching tranny and frame numbers. Looks like when the engine/trans was switch, they mainly swapped the block and transmission as most of the engine accessory/parts are 33.
