A little info please. Any boby have a fan blade come off on an 8BA? Also,is anyone running a flex fan on a 52 or 53 Ford car ? Read some things on The Ford Barn about folks having isues that destroy radiators, hoods etc. THANKS in advance ! mike

The usual cause of fan breakage is failure of the mount. For Fords 42-48 the "oil pump" mount is the usual suspect Throwing a blade is often due to a crack in the blade related to vibration. Be sure to check the blades of your fan near the hub or evidence of cracks.
