I should know this, but I admit I do not. At the bottom front of the radiator of a '34, behind the grille, is a vee-shaped pan, which goes by different names: radiator grille pan, radiator vee, radiator apron, etc. Anyway, those of you that will know the answer to this question know what I am talking about. The question is, "Where does it go?" Is it sandwiched between the grille and the edge of the fender, or is the edge of the fender between the grille and the grille pan (vee)?

Originally it was installed outside the front fender flanges, not between the fender flanges and the grille.

If what 3w2 says is correct, it would mean that the pan could be removed for cleaning/polishing of the pan and allow access for cleaning bugs from the honeycomb radiator.....Hmmm

No, you still would not be able to remove the pan without removing the grille first as the heads of some of the bolts attaching the pan are inaccessible as they are nested in recesses in the sides of grille. (Honeycomb radiators were used by some car makers, especially back in the 'teens and 'twenties, but not by Ford.)
