I doubt very much that the column shift in your '41 is a factory option. As I recall the column shift in a Ford pickup did not appear until the early '50's. My brother has a '37 Fordor sdn that has hydraulic brakes. The car is a very nice stock looking car, that appears to be unmolested original, however, it has a 59AB engine. The hydraulic brakes are the '39-41 style with a '39 peddle assy. Hmm? If the subject comes up about the hydraulic brakes my brother maintains that they are factory, a special order item. HI in 1940, FORD , installed column shift as standard equipment,on cars, so I would assume the 194o pickup was the same, It might be if you ordered a 4 speed.,for heavy duty use, with a granny 1 st gear, it would have a floor shift. but the standard truck would come with the 3 speed column shift in my opinion, my 2 cents 37RAGTOPMAN
