How do you remove inside escucheons and door handles on a '37 ford? The escucheons fit so tight that I can't get a tool under them and I certainly don't want to damage the nice door panel I have. Tony

Sounds like you have after market door panels, which maybe thicker than the factory ones. Using a tool such as a putty knife to hold back the door panel works. The inside door handle is held in place by a small pin. Once you locate the direction of the pin, you can punch it out with a small punch. Replacing it may be another story.
