Put a new # 535 6v NoAmericanPartsAvailable [napa} flasher in my 52 Vic & it lasted 1 year. Anyone know if Mac's or Carpenters are any better?
Also, does a flasher care about + or - ground. Any info GR8tly appreciated! Thanks guys. mike

The flasher does not care about positive or negative ground in my experience. I would search the swap meets for a NOS or NOSR flashers. I have had the best luck with those flashers when putting turn signals on an old Ford. Also check e-Bay for the old original flashers.

My 535 flasher is marked made in USA BY Echlin and also marked NAPA. I also have a spare" Wagner" and an" Ideal" both made in USA. but I'm not sure were I got them. I have a 36 now,but I have had Model A's in the past, and always added turn signals and purchased extra flashers. I will gladly Check them out in by car and send you one if you like.(kirkstad3@verizon.net) 7323360068.

C&G has them for $5, both 6 and 12 volt, They are two prong type. If you need the three prong , they are also listed. They are one of the few places that have them for LED lights. (800) 266-0470.) All good quality.
