Hello, I am in need of as many pictures as possible of the interior for a 37 Sedan Delivery. For example: front kick panel area door panels installed original seat(s) ceiling/headliner, front to back with bow details side Masonite quarter panels spare tire mounting and cover rear wood floor boards rear metal cover plates for cutout areas rear wood trim pieces for quarter panel alignment rear metal trim pieces that hold panels in place rear door guts and trim rear door header trim piece I have scoured the internet but still come up quite short. I am wrapping up one SD restoration which won't be 100%, but have my next SD project that is a real basket case and want to get that one right. Appreciate any and all pictures, etc. that can help me out. Thanks, gregg

Here are some pics of my 37 delivery. They show the interior spare tire cover (a spare could also be located on the rear door), the covers where the floor is cut thin, and the cover for the gas gauge and the right rear corner

These show the bracket on the left rear, the front of the spare tire cover, the lock/holder of the spare tire which I have not mounted in the car and a picture of an actual rear showing the cloth headliner and the metal slide strips about 3/4 wide (I also did not install). The de Angeles book has some good photos of the sedan delivery. Note the door mounted spare. I did my top in masonite and a metal sedan headliner (not correct) and I did not have patterns for the masonite sides. I can't show you the framing behind the masonite. But there is a horizontal spar starting behind the door about 13 inches up and ending at the back about 15 inches up. Another horizontal spar is about 2 inches down from the ceiling. The vertical spars are 33 inches from the front and 57 inches from the front. I started with a junk yard body with most wood rotten or missing so I don't know what is correct except for what I got from the book. This message was edited by juergen on 6-9-19 @ 11:57 AM

Juergen, Those pics are priceless. I am indebted to you forever. Thanks so much. Let me know if I can ever return a similar favor regarding these SDs. I am off to the upholsterer tomorrow. Trying to keep it authentic. Roy N. told me the rear qtr Masonite panels were painted rustic brown, so am going in that direction. The 37 body parts list indicates that there was some sort of header panel above the rear door opening, on the inside of the car. How is your car finished off in that area? Any shots of the headliner? Again, thanks a million. My car pic attached, it is coach maroon. Please forgive the NON original wheels. My wife just had to have something fancy looking. gregg

I did not get a back cover with the body. So for the "headliner" I made some wooden bows for the ceiling and covered them with masonite all the way to the rear. The pictures in the book show it should have a cloth headliner but do not show the top rear area. Also where the floor meets the sides there is metal moulding probably used to seal the edge. You can see it in my photos and in the book photos. Good choice of colors (mine is coach maroon also). Good Afternoon, Gregg--- I did an AOL Search - "1937 Ford Sedan Delivery Image Results" for you. The search yielded TONS of photos, but 98% of them are all customized street rods. If you plow through the street rod photos, I DID find 3 original photos that might help you. Two of them show driver and passenger views of the original interior, and the 3rd one shows a partial view of the rear cargo area. I did not know that this space includes a little enclosure for the spare tire. Now then, I TRIED to copy them on a PDF to send to you, but was not successful (&$$#!!*!!). I'll keep trying, but I think you can find those photos on the Image Results search yourself (Hint - scroll down slowly and keep your eyes peeled for them). Good luck with he restoration. Tom

Hey Tom, Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I will dredge through the photos. Seems like everyone wants to hot rod this model (hah, not to mention all the other years and models). As few as there were of these, now they look nothing like the original, dang. gregg
