I see some 1940/41 pick ups with the passenger car style chevron tail lights. Can anyone tell me if the contour is the same so that the chevron style fits the pick up fenders?

The '40 pickup fenders may have a little sharper peak on them. As '40 passenger car owner and previously owned a 41 pickup I would not install the passenger car lights in the pickup. The passenger car lights sit at an angle and are not easy to see when the sun lands on them at certain times of day. I prefer the stock round commercial lights on the pickup as they are easy to see and can be easily converted to LED. I WOULD NOT cut holes in nice steel rear pickup fenders. If they are glass rears, go for it if you think you want the passenger car lights.
