I removed the hood on my 1936 Ford to do some engine work on the car.Now when I went back to install the Hood everything looks fine except as you look to the front of the Hood the hood top of the grill there is a space .I installed the the rear Hood bracket it is fine but the front hood bracket is there a front and back to it that is why the hood is not installed correctly

Fitting the hood on an old vehicle is usually a test of your patience, as a change anywhere affects all the rest of the places. To get all gaps right, the best way is to loosen all of the front clip (front fenders, grill. etc) and beginning at the firewall, shift the parts until you are satisfied, then tighten the bolts. This is also a good time to replace the welting.

You shouldn't have to loosen anything that you didn't move from before you started. The work you did, if it involved the radiator, that's likely the place to start.

There is no front or back position to the front hood mounting bracket on a '36 passenger car hood.
