Topic: 46 t0 48 Trumpet Horn question

Just cleaning up the engine and under the hood of my 46. I pulled the trumpet horns for a little R & R and was wondering if I take a heat gun to the base of the trumpet and try to wiggle it back and forth with it release it's self. If not how do they come off?

More often than not, using heat will damage accessories such as horns. If, in fact, if the horn(s) still work, it is best to leave them alone. The trumpet style horns were used only on the early '46 and are not reproduced, to my knowledge. The later horns used the "snail" configuration.
