I have a 41 Convertible. It is missing both the top motors and screwjacks. I am considering using hydraulic cylinders to operate the top. I have not been able to find a picture of convertible top motor or screwjacks. So I am not sure exactly what I will be replacing.

Does anyone have a picture of a 41 or 42 electric convertible top motor. A picture of an installed unit so much the better.

Contact Hydro-E-Lectric for info and diagrams of convertible to parts and designs. 941-639-0437 or hydroe.com Replacing the screw jack system with hydraulic not only requires cylinders and a pump, but counter balance springs and control. The best illustrations of the top and assorted pieces is in the Ford 1944-1952 body parts catalog. It is available from C&G as item V-44 (800/266-0470). We have done that conversion, but it isn't easy. I did it in my '47 because all the system was missing when I found the car. The switch provided wasn't adequate, so I devised a control box to do the job which is hidden in the trunk behind the back seat.
