  Hello fellas
I’m looking for some consultation from those in the know

My 1941 Ford car needs a rebuilt rearend
I can buy a 1946 rearend that seller states is in good working order.

Will a 46 rearend asm fit right into a 41 with out modification or changing of rear leaf springs etc? I do not want to modify my 41

Yes, it will fit without modification. To do so, you must salvage and use your existing axles, axle housings, and spider gear. This is a pretty straight forward swap, but does involve some bench assembly time with specific instructions too involved to spell out in this initial answer. First things first, determine what ratio the replacement gears are, and the relative condition. The seller ought to be able to show you both answers, by draining and observing the condition of the gear oil, and by marking one ring gear tooth, and counting teeth while turning.
