How does one take apart a horn to a 1948 Ford Super Delux to get @ the contacts without destroying the cover? Mine are crimped together rather than using some fasteners. Thanks.

You should be able to just pry off the top cover. it should not be crimped all around. Try connecting a heavy jumper wire directly from the battery to the horn. If the horn sounds, the contacts and diaphragm are OK and your problem is elsewhere. If the horn does not sound, check the ground connection by hooking a jumper directly from the battery to the horn mounting. Tom
