  Hello everyone,

Has anyone had the key in the column not turn all the way back and not come out. It turns but is limited. Any solutions??

Thanks, Kenneth

Try moving the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key. I have had mine do the same thing.

I tried that and it didn't work.
I have a 1935 Phaeton and the key in the ignition, I think, just unlocks the power to the car.
Does it lock the steering column?

  Yes

and make sure the lever is all the way up on the off, if down just a little will not make it lock and key will not come out

Turn the key so the ignition is in the "on" position. Then drip some "Lock-Ease" on the chrome ball that sticks out and also drip some down in the area of the lever. The unit may need lubrication. If this does not help you may have some severely worn parts inside the unit.
