I'm rebuilding a generator for a 37 mod 78. The front bearings are tapered roller bearings which are listed as 32 -36 bearings in all the catalogs I have. Could this be a leftover generator from previous years? Also the two wires coming from the generator body, one goes to the cutout on top, but is the other just a ground to the generator itself? Also what type of lubrication is used for the front bearings and rear bushing since lubrication ports are in the front and rear of the generator. Thanks for the help.
