I have a 1946 59AB in a 39. I see 2 separate vacuum outlets on the intake manifold, but both have plugs in them. The one I removed had a newer 7/16 20 which was only turned in 4-5 threads. The other looks older and is in very tight…I am leaving that one alone for now. Does anyone know what fittings should be in these outlets? I assume one is for the Trico and the other for the distributor advance… Thanks for any help.

Your car distributor does not have a vacuum advance but rather a vacuum brake. The engine vacuum acts to pull the brake away from the mechanical advance, allowing faster advance response. The front port is for the distributor. This message was edited by 40 Coupe on 10-2-18 @ 5:38 AM

I have the correct fittings if you cant find them. They are not readily available. ken ct. 1-203-260-9780 cell.
