every 35 ford grill has a hole on top for the hood ornament to bolt onto it... as see in the picture mine don't have that. so does that mean that i can't get a hood ornament for it?

Not sure, but you may have an early reproduction grille.

Are the horizontal strips across the vertical bars stainless steel and removeable? If not then I definitely think you have an old reproduction grille.

I also think you have a reproduction grille. Looks very much like one I bought back in the 60's, and was made in Argentina
I would suggest trying to find an original 35 Ford grille, made in the USA..

i would love to find a usa grille but the ones i seen on ebay are $400 for junk ones or 2500 for nice ones, which i can't afford right now

Gary, I have no idea where you are located. If you are in the USA, I think you can find a nice used grille for much less than $2500.00. I see quite a few of these at swap meets at less than $1000.00, and nice enough to use in a driver. I'll be at Hershey next month, where I usually see several. I don't buy much on Epay, I'd rather see what I'm getting in person.

Get a room well before you go. No one mentioned that it is a 5 day event.
Also, once again thanks to Dennis Carpenter, the Early Ford V-8 Club will have a presence there on the Chocolate Field. Stop by to say HI, look at the Club's books we have for order and even sign up or renew your membership.

Gary, this is the largest antique automoble flea market/swap meet/car corral/car show of its kind anywhere in the world. You will be amazed at its size. Tuesday, Oct. 9, is vendor setup day, but also a great day to find things as the vendors unload for setup. Spectator's are allowed to walk in on Tuesday, as well as the other 4 days of the event. In my opinion Tuesday through Thrusday are the best days to be there. Venders start packing up on Friday, and many are gone by mid afternoon. I'll be at space RCA 106 in the Red Field by the old stadium. If you come, look me up. I might even have some leads on a 35 grille for you
