I have used Hydro-E-Lectric for convertible top parts. 941-639+0376. Or: www.hydroe.com. Parts for the '40 vacuum top are very hard to locate, as that system is a one-year design. It was very slow and not dependable when it was new, and as time passed, usually didn't work at all. Many owners just disconnected the cylinders and raised the top by hand. Hydro provided the parts to restore my '47 convertible, and it was fine, but slow. We designed and built a relay box to provide full voltage to the pump, and now it works better than new.
