can anyone give me some insight into the heads i have on my 36 ford the right side is 68-6049 and the left is 68-6050 B? car is otherwise stock thanks, bob

Bob, Your heads were used for service replacement only in 1936. The original heads for the 1936 Ford passenger car were 40-6049, 40-6050, and the same designation with A, A1, or A2. Cast iron heads were available for commercial vehicles. Alan
