I have a 37 Tudor. I am in the process of making door panels for it. I see in the back side that the panels were nailed to some sort of rubber block a few inches long. First. What is that called??, and can I just cut it out of wood?? All of the little tabs are still there that would hold those block into place.. Thanks

I found it at Mac's. $1.99 per foot. I bought 3'. I went by the piece of rubber I have to take the measurements needed.
Another question though..
I never had any panels in the car when I bought it. I heard on another site that that tack strip was used for holding the wind lace. I found a lot of nails in these little rubber pieces. Did the panels also attach to that strip?? I found 3 or 4 holes that the clips where the panel would go in, but it seems like there might be to much of a gap between clips for me.
