Topic: Missing Trunk Key - How to rekey

I have a 1941 Convertible and the trunk key is missing. I have seen discussion on how to remove the lock cylinder. It appears that the key is necessary to do this. What's the best course of actions. Thanks as always for the help

The glove compartment key and the trunk key were originally keyed alike. I'm not familiar with the '41, but the glove compartment cylinder is usually easy to remove. Maybe you will get lucky

I am led to believe that any good lock smith can make a key without removing anything. Call one and ask.

If you can access the entire assembly, remove it and take it to a locksmith. They should be able to make a key for you.
