Topic: Centering Steering Wheel

Have 1941 Tudor. The steering wheel is off center, I mean it does not sit centered or straight up and down as you drive. Is it as simple as pulling the wheel and re-positioning it on the column splines? Or is this best done by moving tie rod ends on left and right side?

you will need to adjust the drag link to center the steering wheel.

At the end of the drag link opposite the steering box there should be a threaded sleeve about four inches long with the drag link in one end and the tie rod end in the other. Loosen the bolts on the sleeve and turn the whole thing. Turning the sleeve one way will shorten the drag link and turning the sleeve the other way will lengthen it. I used a pipe wrench. If you set the steering wheel where you want it, you can tell which way to go to make the front wheels point straight ahead. Just make sure you leave enough threads in the sleeve to be safe. It's a trial and error process.
