Has anyone rebuilt one? I have a 1950 F-1. The wiper moves, but very slowly. Are there any rebuild services for these vacuum motors?

Try Kent Jaquith at ph# 541-923-4319 (home#0 or 541-350-7426. Hopefully he still repairs them. He has done 3 for me and they performed like new.

All it may need is to lubricate the felt paddle in the motor so it will hold vacuum. Try disconnecting the vacuum supply hose and squirting some oil into it. Then move the wipers back and forth by hand a few times to suck the oil into the motor.

I had the same problem with the wiper motor in my '53 and did what '4dFordSC' suggested above. I removed the vacuum supply line at the carb and sprayed some Gibbs Oil into it. I was amazed at the increased power and increase in speed of the wiper motor. Been working great ever since....
