Has anyone been successful with a voltage regulator or a volt dropping resistor? If so, what did you use and where to acquire the part? And are there issues with polarity, positive gnd vs negitive gnd?

You need a voltage converter that can handle the current that the radio draws and has a regulated output.

Thx fenbach. i have found out that my 2MF radio is a 6 tube model that draws in 6 amp range. So the Power Converter Regulator on Amazon is good up to 10 A and has built in overload, over current and over voltage protection.
