Topic: 1937 Phaeton - canvas fastening pegs on windshield

I restored my great-great grandmother's 1937 Ford V8 Phaeton. Single family car complete with purchase receipt and service history. A picture appears below.

At the top of the front windshield frame, on both left and right sides, there are pegs that protrude upwards and onto which the canvas top fastens whilst in top-up position.

I am not quite sure how original the pegs on my car are. A close up picture and advice would be much appreciated.

The 1937 Club restoration book has very good drawings of the center dowel either 78-711287-A for the early car or 78-711281-B for the later production. and the two dowels on the sides 78-711286. Also the screws that attach the header to the dowels.

Thank you for your help with this. In fact, I had overlooked this excellent drawing on Page 3-3 and the description alongside on 3-2 covering the open car top header dowels. Would you have any source of NOS or reproduction parts to suggest for these parts ?

I would need One 78-711287-A (my car definitely had the triangular type as I can still the outline of the mounting screws but no longer have the center dowel) and Two 78-711286.

Thank you so much for your help ! Come to India and I'll take you for a drive in the car.

Regards,

RA
