Does anyone have a source to buy a reproduction front wishbone? I have a 47 that is trash. I have found some but they do not appear to have the exstension for the panhard rod. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Your best bet is to find one from a parts car. There are several recyclers that advertise in Hemmings, try one of them.

No repos available that I am aware of on those wishbones. Run a want ad on this site and on Fordbarn. Not sure where you are located, but on the Fordbarn there have been several sellers selling front end parts for the 46-48 cars.

I have a wishbone complete with spindles, front spring, backing plates and drums, drag link tie rod. They are all together (assembled) at this time. Came off a '48 Mercury I had. King pins worn and other but there is zero damage to any of the parts. Where are you in the USA? My Email is fsach@comcast.com. Drop me a line. I also have a 4:11 rear axle and wish bone assembly, brake backing plates and drums. They too are assemble as manufactured. Came from a Grand Rapids police car. Bought it to get my '48 Merc on the road but fixed up the '48 axle to run. It had 3:54 ratio so I kept it. I'm in northwest Indiana.

By the way, several years back I asked the forum what was different between front wishbone, etc. since Merc has 4" longer wheel base. Wasn't able to find out but put a '47 Ford wishbone assembly on my Merc and all lined up perfectly, including the square spring center bolt.
