Car rewired in restoration 15 years ago. Both rear running lights work, both terminals on each light bulbs work. Suspect either misaligned brake light switch, corroded terminals, or broken wire from switch to rear of car. I can see the switch from underneath car, but access in too tight from my ham-hock hands. I see that there seems to be a removable metal floor panel under the floor mat at "hump" by shift lever. Is best way for access to remove this panel from above?

Yes kind of a pain, remove the flooring and then you can remove the tranny cover and axcess the switch.
