Topic: Anybody Recognize This Rim?

I've been browsing ebay for a 16" rim for my '47. I'm FAR from needing the spare rim right now but, if one came available at the right price, I wouldn't turn one down. Anyway, I found the following add (see link below) for a NOS Ford 16" rim, advertised as fitting '42-48. I might have been tempted but the add says it has clips for a hubcap (plainly visible in the photo). The clips tell me that it isn't for a standard '46-48 passenger car but it's piqued my curiosity. Does anybody know what this rim is for?

In the center of the rim(second photo) it looks like a 1G painted there. If I'm correct the 1G was the prefix for the six cylinder cars.

Coker Tire sells replacement wheels. Many of the old wheels out there have badly rusted beads, and often have "wallowed" stud holes. If you plan to ever use tubeless tires, many old wheels will require tubes because the rims won't seal, defeating one of the main reasons to go to radials.
