Topic: '36 pickup Cowl vent

I'm salvaging a working cowl vent mechanism from a chopped up cab. How is the piece with hinges, lever, spring, etc. under the cowl attached? Spot welds? Screws? Attached to dash? I've removed the vent lid. It's a solid, complete working unit and don't want to destroy. It will be installed in my '36 pickup project. Thanks.

Here's a photo of the underside of a 35/36 pickup cowl. The hinges, supports, etc are welded to the underside of the cowl and dash.

Thanks Don. Are they spot welds that can be drilled out? If so, the unit is no longer perfectly smooth so locating spots is problematic. The remaining cowl piece of the cab is worth saving as a patch so reluctant to chop it up.

I don't believe they are spot welds.
