My 47 Ford starts easily when cold. When warm not hot after driving for a half hour or so it turns over very slowly with out starting or just barely starting. Let it sit for a while and it fires right up. The battery is ok motor seems stiff when warm.

To isolate your problem you need a volt meter and perform the tests in this post: https://www.earlyfordv8.org/forum/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=16&Topic=11212&keywords=voltage%20drop Tom

after doing TomO's tests, if every thing checks out, try temporyily bypassing the ign. resistor. If it starts easier, you have an ignition problem, such as bad coil or condenser.
