From my research on this site and others, appears speedometer issues normally require a rebuild. Before I cross that bridge, had a question. This one was behaving erratically and eventually the needle buried. However, when I removed it, I found the needle had come off. I have a new Dennis Carpenter cable, housing and gear. Now I just want to confirm the issue is in the speedometer and not just the needle coming off. I can not get the needle to push back in. Suggestions? Also, is the hole above the threads an oil hole? And last, if the issue is the wallowing out where the cable inserts into the speedo, can you replace just that portion? This message was edited by DJ on 4-24-18 @ 6:59 PM
