I am going to rebuild the steering gearbox in a 1941 car. I am looking for any books, write ups or video on how to do it properly. I have read the article on Van Pelts. It is helpful but I am looking for additional guidance. Pictures, diagrams would really help.

A tough job, even with the needed parts. Be sure to check the worm gear before spending too much If the gear is damaged, might be wise to send the whole assembly to Lares.

Who is Lares? I agree that there is more to rebuilding the Steering Box than just replacing the parts. thanks, Jerry
