I've got the information somewhere but I can't find it. What are the torque specs for the wheel lug nuts and rear brake drums for my '34? I guessed 50ftlb for the lug nuts and 150ftlbs for the rear axles Bill Brown '34 Cabriolet

I have never seen specifications for a 1934 car, but if you have 1/2" lug nuts, I would tighten them to above 75 ft lbs, I use 85 Ft. lbs. on my steel disc wheels on both my 1940 Merc and my 1953 Lincoln. Tom

Thank you. I'll increase the lug nuts to 75ftlbs and assume the axle nuts are OK at 150ftlbs. Bill Bill Brown '34 Cabriolet

I tighten the rear hub nut as tight as I can get it with a 30" breaker bar and then tighten it more to insert the cotter pin. Drive it for a while and recheck the tightness. The axle and hub should be clean and dry so the taper will seat properly. Tom
