Ford did not incorporate a wind wing/vent window into their design until 1940. GM and many other manufactures started using the vent windows in the doors in the early '30's.
Ford and several other company's offered wind wings as an accessory option for the '30 model Fords. The '35'36 Ford wings (Draft Deflectors) are generally found in one shape, after market wings have multiple shapes.
The Ford Draft Deflectors are clearly shown on page 126 of The 1935-36 Ford Book that is published by the EFV8C.
The wing is attached to the door sill, outside of the window with small screws....
I have a set of wind wings that came with my car, they have not been on my car during the 57 years I have owned the car because I don't like the looks of them.
For a price, ($$$) I could be talked out of them.
