Topic: 1935 Frt Fender Brace

I purchased a set of frt fender braces (from Mac's)which are located at rear of frt fender just in front of the running board, they mount between the frame and fender.

They are approx 2" longer than the ones that came attached to fenders I purchased at a swap met. They force the fender way out of line with the running board.
I returned to Mac and found all their stock for this part # to be the same size.

Has any one purchased any that fit and what was your source....also at what point(hole) do you mount them at the frame?? Two pictures attached..

Thanks, Jim

I have tried several "repo" '35 front fender braces from several different suppliers and I have found none that have the same shape and fit as an original. To the best of my knowledge the only '35 front brace that fits a '35 is an original. Maybe others have had better luck.

Tom, thanks for your response(s), when I think of all the issues I have faced during this body-off frustration...taking 2" out of these brackets should be easy.
