I recently replaced diaphragm on fuel pump and installed on my 239 59a I didn"t even know about those little inlet valves or I would have replaced them to.Carb runs out of fuel,my question is how much fuel should that pump put out in say 30 sec??

TomO's procedure is accurate. Another idea might be to attach a pressure gauge to the pump outlet. Most forum members seem to recommend a 2 to 3 psi operating range. The stock pump on my '47 59AB reads a steady 3 psi.
