  My 1936 Ford Phaeton needs some touch up on the paint job. It is a dark maroon does anyone have any knowledge of paint formulas or a paint supplier I could speak with

  Matching paint for "touch up" purposes rarely, if ever, works well by formula. You need to find a shop with a guy that knows how and cares enough to tint the basic formula to match.
It's not easy to do properly and finding "the guy" may be difficult.
However, if you want it to truly match, that's your one and only true option.

  Call Tower Paint in Appleton ,Wisconsin. They have a lot of them and you can order a spray can, pint. quart, or gallon in Laquer. enamel or whatever.They changed hands recently, so if you can't get their number, let me know and I can get it for you.

  The best thing I have found is to take a small panel off the car and bring it to a local auto paint supply and have them scan it. So far I have found they can pretty much match it this way. The problem is finding a small panel on your '36.
