TomO .... don't know about DC's unit but have a used OE 80 lb off a '47 if you need it. Worked fine when last on an engine. Dan

Don't know, but I do know that it shows the oil pressure on my '51 8RT to be 35 psi rather than 50 psi. I have checked the pressure with a mechanical gage, and it is actually 50 psi. My nos gage that gave up the ghost always indicated 50 psi. A second sending unit from Carpenter gave the same results. Carpenter's ad says it's exactly like the original, whatever that means. Thanks ,Dan. I have a couple and need to get out in the garage to test them. I was asking the question to help a guy on another Forum. He bought the NAPA replacement and I am pretty sure that it is the variable resister type as it does not show the correct pressure. Thanks for your information, Richard. Now I will not recommend them. Tom
