Topic: Looking for my high school 40 Ford

  Hey folks,
I'm trying to track down the 40 Ford Convertible that my Dad bought new in Detroit. He gave it to me on my 16th birthday and I spent the next 2 years hot-rodding it in Pasadena, CA. Sold it to a guy from Buena Park when I joined the Navy. Will be in Southern California in March and would sure like to see it again, but have no clue as to who owns it, where it might be, etc. So if any of you are aware of where this sweet 40 Ford resides, please let me know:

*Was painted black in the day (I paid $75 to have the body work and paint done at a shop in Pasadena)

* The hood was extensively louvered and dual pipes with cut outs under the running boards installed at Blair's speed shop in Pasadena

* I dropped a mildly modified (Isky Cam, triple carburated) 55 Chevy short block in it following the detailed instructions published in Hot Rod Magazine and went racing at the Irvine strip on Sundays

* Installed a Mercury speedometer

* She ran small nerf bars in the front as you can see from photo

Sure would like to see it again and will be at Donut Derelicts in Huntington Beach on Saturday March 10.

Thanks all. Curt Mason
