Topic: 3 point seat belt installation in 1940 Tudor

I want to put 3 point belts in the front seat of my '40.
Anyone done this?
There appears to be plenty of room to put shoulder belt pivot point in the B pillar and a mount area at the floor or base of door frame for retractor.

Any info appreciated!

I did it in the early '90s. If I remember correctly the "B" pillar sheetmetal meets under the upholstery on the pillar. I welded a nut to a steel plate and welded the plate inside the "B" pillar, attached the upper belt swivel to the nut. I wasn't impressed with the amount of steel there was to weld to. I don't know if this setup has been tested, but we were fortunate to drive all over the southeast every summer for 20 years and not have to test them.

I have installed them in my 39 coupe
I used a b pillar mount from Julianos street rod parts and seat belts. Here is a link to the piece I used it worked perfect and very easy
