Topic: reputable rebuild shop pa

Does anybody have a reputable car restoration shop in the Allentown, Pottstown, Montgomery/Bucks county area of Pa? I have a 1937 Ford club Coupe that I am trying to keep as close to original as possible. I want a shop that has experience with this kind/vintage of car. Does anybody have experience with Walter Higgins Auto Restoration in Kennett Square, Pa?

Schwalms Babbitted Bearings in Strasburg, PA (Ora Landis)

Primarily Model T and A, but also EV8 on request

ora@schwalms.com

Also there's a V8 place in Royersford/Limerick but I just can't remember the name or lay hands on it

I just checked online. Does Victory Details or Pollock Auto Restoration ring a bell??

I've heard of Pollocks, but don't know them per se. The Model A person who used to be in Downingtown went there I believe.

There is a shop in Hanover, Pa known as Bad Donkey Hot Rods that does excellent work. They were mainly into building hotrods, but in the last 5/6 years have turned out 4/5 Dearborn award winning early Ford V-8's for members of our RG36 in Maryland.

Before you put the money down be sure to check the shop out in the archives, here, fordbarn.com and HAMB (https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/).

Here are two that I'm aware of in Penna.

Fred's Engine Service
Misty Patch Rd.
Coatesville, Pa. 10320
Fred Seydel

Fred just finished a 59 AB for a friend of mine.
He's extremely pleased with the work and the price.

Stauffer's in Phoenixville are very good as well but I
only know them by their reputation.

Stauffers Machine Shop
