Anyone had experience with mounting the dual exhaust pipes under the frame, as opposed to the standard procedure ?

They would probably hang too low under the usual cross member.Mine and most go through the slightly enlarged holes in the cross member. OMO ken ct. Keep the same diameter tail pipes as stock and it will be fairly quite. Larger pipes = louder sound. I run straight pipes (NO MUFFLERS). I use a cut down to 6 or 7 inches 2 stroke motor-cycle muffler baffle near the end of the TP,cant even see them with the chrome pencil tips on there. ken ct.

I haven't personally seen it, but I heard of a gent using a pair of torque tubes, straight through, of course, and could be heard on the next planet.

  Thanks Ken

I'll take a careful look at the frame holes, although at a glance it seems that the standard pipes would not fit the openings.

Use 1 1/2" pipes to the mufflers and you should be OK.

I have 1 3/4" pipe on the left side and it is tight, it had to be flattened so that the clutch would not hit it. The right side has 2" pipe to the muffler.
