Anybody know if Carpenter's 1940 radio knobs will fit on a 39 radio?
I assume the answer is 'no' Any other source available?
Thanks..

I believe the push button for changing pre-selected stations can be made to fit.

If you have knobs that are in good enough shape to make a pattern from, there is a guy on the AACA Lincoln Forum that may be able to reproduce them for you.

You mean 3D printing? Hadn't thought of that!

No, the guy that I am talking about casts new knobs for Lincoln Zephyrs. He also make new steering wheels for them. He needs a good sample to make a mold.

3D printing can be used to make the knobs from an engineering drawing. If you have a sample, it can be 3D scanned and the defects repaired on the computer and then converted to a 3D printer file, it can get very expensive. I have been told that you need to be very careful about the material used for 3D printing. Most of it is only good to make a prototype to be used to create a mold for production.
