I have my 46 ford coupe in a thousand pieces and have had it that way for many years! I finally have the time to put it back together and cannot remember how all parts go together. I did not take enough pictures before disassembling. I am looking for complete assembly manual if one exist? Johnny boy

When you say a thousand pieces what exactly do you mean? Are the engine and transmission assembled units or did you take the drive train pieces apart. There are assembly drawing for the drive train components. As for the car itself your best bet is to find someone local and take lots of pictures. I am not aware of a nice neat how to put it together manual that would cover everything.

The Early Ford V-8 Club has published a book on the 41-48 Fords. It is not an assembly manual, but it will help you in many areas. it's a good place to start by buying the book. You can order it on the front page of this site. Join the Early Ford V-8 club and get a roster of members plus the bi-monthly magazine , The V-8 Times. Then check for a regional V-8 Club group in your area. Call the President of the club and I'm sure he/she can refer you to a member with a car like yours. The contact that person to take photos and you will also get lots of good advice from the owner. This club has a wealth of information from it's members and the magazine

The best shop manual I have seen is the Canadian book for 39-48. It is available from C&G (800) 266-0470) as item #V222 Ford didn't publish a shop manual, as such, preferring to issue "service bulletins".
