Topic: Curb weight of a '36 Tudor

Can anyonhe provide a ballpark figure for the weight of a stock '36 Tudor Sedan slantback? Specifically, I'm considering buying a custom built open trailer to transport the car and I was wondering if I could get by with a single axle rated at 3500 pounds. Any thoughts on the subject?

2,659 for the tudor Standard (slant back). The Deluxe weighed 2,691 for the slant back. Maybe the extra trim weighed more? I wouldn't recommend a single axle trailer for hauling a car of any weight, as you need a longer trailer for weight distribution. A good prototype for an open car hauling trailer is the one used by U-Haul. I had an enclosed trailer, but it was just too big to haul around the country. Be sure your trailer has electric brakes, and that you install an "inertia" control. I prefer to load with ramps, rather than having a tilting bed. I'd want a trailer able to haul at least 5,000 pounds.
