I'm new to the forum and I recently bought a 1938 ford tudor with 49,000 miles on it, and I would like to know the best type of gasoline and motor oil to use? And does anyone know if Evan's coolant is worth it? Thanks in advance.

If you can find it in your area, the best gasoline to use would be regular unleaded without any ethanol. If this is not convenient to obtain, you can use unleaded regular with up to 10% ethanol without harming your engine - it has had hardened valve seats installed at the factory. Motor oils to use is a question that will get you many different answers. I would use a good quality name brand oil like Pennzoil SAE 30 weight detergent oil with an additive to replace the missing zinc that was previously used to reduce wear between the cam lobes and the valve tappets. One additive which contains the required amount of zinc is Red Line Engine Oil Break-In Additive.
