  With the original King-Seely design, they are zero and infinity. They are a point make and break system (like your voltage regulator or distributor). The amount of dwell time (points closed versus open) determines the average current which then could be considered as an average resistance. They make and break about once a second. Both the sender and the gauge make and break with the slow acting pointer affected by the average current.

So you need to check with the gauge and sender powered in the loop and move the sender arm to see if it acts properly.

With no current in the system, the points should be closed and the resistance zero.
